Rabbit in the headlights comes to mind for a lot of the delegates. We try not to get too caught up in the legislation (but PLEASE read your own PRIVACY POLICY, if it’s been updated yet!?). The best advice we give is to consider whether the source of your data is fit for the purpose of what you will be doing with the data and that you can track and evidence the source of it from start to present/finish. To avoid “kicking the GDPR nest” apply extra filters or search criteria so your communications are targetted. Avoid storing data in multiple and unsecure locations; CVs in your work bag or strewn across your desk/printer. DON’T PANIC you may operate compliantly, but DON’T ASSUME YOU DO, CHECK YOU DO!
