Credit where credit's due and even better when it's technology that brings it in.
Technology, Process and People = Progress, Efficiency and Power.
Why didn't they do this years ago! Same for so many other industries and companies still fearing change, not open to innovation stopping them from selecting and implementing solutions that change the world and people's lives in a good way.
So I was loving a bit of flat pack furniture for Rose, our ten year old's long overdue bedroom update from baby unicorns and bunnies to something a little more grown up when...
BANG! A wardrobe door fell and landed on my foot. It was one of those eye-watering, deep breaths between many expletives type situations.
The wife said there's a new service through NHS where you fill out a form, send in a pic of your injury and a GP looks it over and books you in for an x-ray. This all happened within an hour.
I went for my x-ray, seen within 10 minutes and back out the door in another 5. No fracture, hoorah. Follow up from GP in a couple of days. Brilliant.
The old way: go to A&E or book a GP appointment, unnecessarily clogging up the system, to wait to be processed by 5 times as many people taking 50 times longer for the same solution.
This is an example of tech helping people at its best.
Please, please, please continue to push past blockers and boundaries.
For anyone fearful of tech and change: Don't be.
Get the right people who understand the problem and know the best solutions and how to implement and GO FOR IT!
Are there any other examples you have experienced that have transformed the way things are done for the better forever!? Please share.
